When the pupil has advanced as far as Proportion, care is again taken that he be not bewildered by the introduction of new terms, which mean the same thing with those with which he is already fa miliar. It is shown that the terms, antecedent, and consequent, mean the same thing as dividend and divisor in Division, - the same as numerator and denominator, in Fractions.
