FIFTEENTH LESSON.

1. Count units or ones until you have ten of them, thus, one one, two ones, three ones, four ones, and so on to ten ones, which you may call one ten, or ten. Count tens until you have ten of them; thus, one ten, two tens, and so on to ten tens, which you may call ten tens, or one hundred. Now, count hundreds until you have ten of them; thus, one hundred, two hundred, and so on to ten hundred, which you may call one thousand. They are written thus ;

2. How do you write one thousand in words? in letters? in figures? How many figures must be used to write one thousand? What are these four figures? Write one in figures; eleven; one hundred and eleven, one thousand one hundred and eleven.
