To learn this table, find your multiplier in the column head, 2, 8, 4, 5, doc. And say, twice 1 is 2, twice 2 is 4, twice 3 is 6, Ste. Which you will see in the right-hand column.
This mode of teaching the multiplication table, is the easiest, and I presume the best, as it does not discourage the pupil to commit it to memory, as it does when in a square. It is here divided into small tasks, which appears rather a delight to the pupil, than a burden. I alwa s adopt this lan for my pupils, and find the good od'ecla it.
