About the author (2005)

I have been in and around sports cars for many years, from Ferrari in my early days, through Alfa Romeo, Lotus, McLaren & Porsche. With an architectural and engineering background, I have an intense interest in engineering quality and inspired design. I have been the 911 3.2 Register Secretary within the Porsche Club Great Britain for some years and have been working towards producing this exacting book on the Carrera for some considerable time. I live on the Isle of Man and amongst other interests, including writing, photography and designing houses, I collect classic and sports cars. I choose my cars carefully and currently have three Porsche icons in my collection.
